What is Electra?

Electra is an educational game based on Kixur.

What’s Kixur?

kixur (/ˈkɪksə/) means either a school approved by the Missionary Sisters of Karnassus, or ‘a stronghold’

Its etymology is from from ancient Karnassan kixona “fortress.”

The first kixur was founded in an abandoned fortress in the hinterlands of Karnassus. As the people had no concept of education, they referred to this new institution by its old name, the fortress.

As education is a bastion against superstition and tyranny, the semantic association was not discouraged by the first Missionary Sisters.

The best way to think about Kixur is something like Jesuit schools, except of course the sisters do not believe in our God or anybody elses.

Why don’t the Missionary Sisters come in person?

The universal charter of 23 PSP prohibits direct contact, or transfer of resources or technology from polystellar to monostellar civilizations.

Current legislation and long standing precedent permits only the transfer of ‘konstaxer’ (the closest translation being the clumsy sounding ‘personal philosophy’. ) Even the political sciences are prohibited, therefore – contrary to internet rumours – politics is not a part of the curriculum or school life.

How can you talk so flippantly and briefly about apparent contact with aliens?

We do not go into detail about the Missionary Sisters because you won’t believe us, and nor should you because it is not rational to believe in something for which no evidence is proffered.  Besides, providing such evidence would contravene the universal charter.

However, as a simple ethical matter, we have a responsibility to tell you the origins of this program. Quite frankly, we recommend you forget about the Missionary Sisters and just focus on whether the game is beneficial or not.
